Studio's Mixing Desk

The C|24 is the newest addition to Digideign's range of pro mixers. This mixer offers students and clients the chance to get 'hands on' with their music making like never before! We are one of the first studios in the South West of England to be using this mixer.

The C|24 acts as a control surface to the PRO TOOLS audio software running on the MAC PRO Computer.

Computer Power

At Little Stoke Live the Apple Mac Pro is at the heart of the studio. We decided on the Mac after much consideration - with PC's becoming faster and cheaper - it really was a tough desicion.

In the end the Mac Pro won the day - due to reliability and its ability to crunch lots of audio!

A/D Convertors

Digidesigns 003 really is a great piece of hardware. Basically put - it translates all the audio into digital data. The 002 (which the 003 has replaced) has been the back-bone of many past project studios - the 003 offers much the same - but with improved A/D convertors.

Studio Monitors

At the studio we have a couple of pairs of near field studio monitors (speakers).

The choice of speakers is very important in a recording studio, as they allow you to hear audio in full clarity, ensuring that you make the right choices when composing and mixing audio. We use the Mackie 624s as main monitors and then have a pair of Alesis MK2 Active monitors as reference.

We have a number of 'teaching' guitars at the studio - which customers and students can freely use. We are also able to offer customers the option of hiring specific vintage and classic guitars for recording projects.
